Late Night Talk Shows: Innovation, Small Business, Politics, or Economics

The other day, I was at Starbucks and I was talking to a gentleman who was quite distraught, while going through all the advertisements in the newspaper to look for work. She’d walked into Starbucks due to the air conditioning, pulled the newspaper off the “read-only” newspaper rack, bought the cheapest coffee of the day, and pulled out her highlighter and a yellow notepad. Personally, I applaud this level of hard work finding a job, rather than just collecting unemployment benefits. Okay, let’s talk about this, shall we?

You see, the gentleman in question had run out of his unemployment benefits and is therefore not counted in the 8.2% unemployment rate, but he is definitely out of work and stressing himself out to the max. As I talked to him and gave him suggestions for places to go to find work on this side of our Valley, he admitted that he didn’t get much sleep that night. I told him that he could always listen to nighttime radio, and he said yes, but the only really good shows were conspiracy theory shows, and that wasn’t doing him any good either.

He worked hard to maintain mental sanity, but what he really needed was a psychological boost and a way to get a good night’s sleep to stay alert, motivated, and ready to work while looking for work during the day. The bills were piling up, and if the stress didn’t kill him, he would soon be homeless pushing a shopping cart. This made me think that we need more late-night talk shows that are positive, that talk about innovation, small business issues, economics, and what’s going on in the political fabric.

People need to be able to make sense of the world, but it is quite difficult for politicians to say one thing and the economy to respond by doing another. Many people who cannot find work should probably be thinking about starting their own business, or perhaps they have had a lot of time on their hands to think of an innovative new concept that they can bring to market so that they can achieve their goal. dreams and life goals.

Wouldn’t it be great if there were more of these types of late-night talk shows that were about the positive nature of free markets, small businesses, and then maybe we could get our economy moving again with or without the help of the podium? pushing politicians. In fact, I hope you will please consider all of this and think about it.
