Robin, Batman’s sidekick, but who is he?

Robin is the fictional superhero character who fights crime with Batman. Robin was first introduced to the world of comics in issue #38 of the detective comics. Robin has had several characters play him, however the character’s first skin tone was Dick Grayson. Many people at the time believed that the character Robin was introduced into the Batman comics to garner a younger crowd, if this was the intention it worked. Robin brought a massive increase in comic readership and was eventually successful enough to publish his own comic.

Dick Grayson became the character Nightwing, however, fearing that he was getting too old to fight anymore, Dick retired as a robin and was replaced by the character Jason Todd. Jason Todd first appeared in issue #357 of the detective comic.

Jason Todd arguably had the best story arc, as towards the end of his comics run, he is brutally beaten, taunted, and eventually killed by the Joker. However, we were led to believe that the Joker killed him, but in a twist of fate, Jason Todd became the anti-hero known as Little Red Hood. Red Hood had good intentions of ridding the city of his evil deeds, however, he did them in a non-heroic manner, which eventually meant he would cross paths with Batman and the new Robin.

After Jason Todd’s supposed death, Tim Drake’s character played Robin. Tim has a long history that would last 6 years and eventually made him his own superhero.
