Certified Used Cars in the UAE – About the used car market

About the used car market

It seems like every week there is a new auction for certified used cars in UAE. These cars have been seized by the government, or by private citizens, and placed on sale for a price which is much lower than what they would cost if they were sold by car dealerships. I always think it is a little shady that they are selling them for so much less, but then again, I don’t know a whole lot about the used car market in Abu Dhabi. In any case, I was intrigued so I decided to go and see what it was all about. If you are interested in buying one of these cars, this article should help you.

There are several types of used cars in uae. The government-backed Autodrome Dubai puts new cars on sale and confiscated cars from people who cannot make their payments. These cars are usually only a few years old and have had their license suspended, or are expired. The cars will be inspected and must meet certain requirements before being up for sale. They cannot be over 25% pre owned.

Private citizens tend to buy older, unlicensed cars that are not likely to ever be on the roads again. They either fixed them up or bought them second hand. I have seen some impressive ones in the UAE that have been well maintained. You can look at classifieds for vehicles for sale in Dubai from private owners, or from the government. I don’t recommend the latter, because the chances of the car still being in perfect condition are very slim.

Government-backed dealers are a lot better than you can find a larger variety of vehicles. However, you will pay more for the used cars, especially if they have been confiscated. If you’re a car enthusiast and want to experience owning and driving a good used car, this is probably not the way to go. Keep in mind though that the government cars are much more reliable than private cars. That’s why they are the recommended vehicle type if you’re looking for certified used cars in the UAE.

Another thing to consider is that all these used cars in the UAE are subject to MOT tests. You need to bring your registration documents with you to the MOT test centre. If you don’t have a UAE driving license, you will need a UAE Passport to drive any of these cars. There are two ways to do the test: in a car or on the moped. It’s interesting to see all the different ways people have tried to pass their MOTs.

There is also one other thing to remember if you’re planning on taking your car for a test drive. You need to bring an up-to-date copy of your vehicle’s warranty to the test centre. And most importantly of all, follow the rules! Have fun and drive carefully. Good luck!
